Help Improve the Modelu Loco Crew Compatibility Database.
We’re building a growing database of compatible Modelu loco crew for specific manufacturer models, helping fellow modellers choose the right figures with confidence.

MODELU BESPOKE CREWS - BACKGROUND
WORKING WITH THE MANUFACTURERS
Since 2017, we’ve worked directly with leading locomotive manufacturers to develop bespoke crew packs for specific releases. In many cases this has involved access to pre-release CAD data or engineering prototypes, allowing us to design figures that genuinely fit - not just approximately, but properly.
That accumulated knowledge now feeds directly into the Modelu Compatibility Project.
WORKING WITH HERITAGE RAILWAYS
Our relationships with heritage railways across the UK give us something photographs and engineering drawings can’t - lived experience.
Time spent on loco footplates, observing working practices and speaking with drivers and firemen, informs how our figures sit, lean, reach and occupy a cab. The subtle posture, stance and movement that makes a crew believable comes from reality, not assumption.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you’ve successfully fitted a Modelu crew to a locomotive that isn’t already listed on our website, we’d love to hear from you.
Clear photographic reference is essential, as all submissions are reviewed before being added to the database. We also request you provide as much information as possible on the fit and which Modelu products you used, plus any potential alterations you made.
If possible, a list of which Product SKU's have been used would be advantageous, but we can work it out from photographs if you no longer have a record.
