New crew figures

New loco crew figures are in the pipeline, this last selection were produced with kind help from Iain and Tom at Llangollen once more. They include another leaning crew variant suited to lower cab sides, seated crew and some new footplate poses.  Once test prints have been checked they will be available through the online shop and from our stand at exhibitions.

A new feature when ordering figures will be option of mirroring the pose for left or right hand drive cabs.  This option will be available when choosing in which scale you’d like the figure printed.   I’m also pondering a choice of firing shovels having scanned an LMS, GWR and Lucas shovel but that might be a level of detail to far!

The most naturalistic crew figures the world has ever seen. The range just gets better and better.

They look fantastic Alan, the idea of mirrored figures fantastic and please it isn’t a step too far to print different companies shovels! Have you also considered printing a figure similar to WS053 but with other companies lamps?

Fantastic range, cannot wait to see what else you have instore for us

Thanks Broc! I have considered region specific WS053 and just this weekend scanned lamps from the big 4. The lamps will also be sold separately as initial tests show they will be robust enough for use!

Excellent looking figures, nice to see that most are still rather than being too animated, much more realistic than a figure frozen in some sort of movement,The hight in mm’s between feet and hands (or elbows) on leaning out figures would be of help when matching to a loco, also if one leaning out figure could take into account those annoying boxes in the cabs of Hornby’s new D16 and J15, or do they all anyway? Thanks and Regards,Harry

Hi Harry, good idea about the elbow/arm heights. I’ll update the product listings with the relevant measurements soon!
